Description: I graduated from the best massage therapy school in the area - the Potomac Massage Training Institute (PMTI) - in February 2017. I am primarily trained in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage and would say that Deep Tissue is my favorite modality. I am not offering Ashiatsu yet, but it will likely be my primary modality once I start offering it in 2019, so keep an eye out for that if that's something that interests you.
If you don't know the difference between Swedish and Deep Tissue, I generally recommend Deep Tissue as it's most people's preference. Swedish is cheaper because it's a light massage overall, and it probably won't do a lot to release knots or major tension unless you like a lot of heavy tapotement. However, it's good for loosening of the more superficial layers of tissue, bringing blood flow throughout the body, and calming of the nervous system.
I currently only take clients at Deluca Massage & Bodywork, but eventually aim to have my own business.
