Description: Eric's treatments are holistic, yet address specific concerns, and utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities to tap into the body's innate ability to heal. He works though the various layers of tissue to target adhesions and chronic patterns of tension. In his dynamic treatments, your body is passively rocked and stretched to loosen and realign joints, fascia, and muscular fibers. Eric's treatment philosophy is: a little bit of medicine, a little bit of sugar as he balances therapeutic techniques which have the potential for discomfort, with nurturing and nourishing techniques aimed at bringing the body into a state of bliss. Treatment goals are not only to relieve pain and tension, but to leave his clients relaxed, refreshed, and revitalized.
Eric trained as a massage therapist in British Columbia where requirements for the profession are among the most extensive in the world. He completed over 3,000 hours of undergraduate studies in anatomy, physiology, pathology, specialized treatment, professional development, and ethics. Upon graduation, he successfully completed a rigorous board examination process consisting of 4 exams: health sciences, clinical sciences, jurisprudence, and a practical examination. His continuing education includes advanced studies in myofascial release, craniosacral therapy and osteopathic techniques. He is registered as a primary health care provider in British Columbia and licensed as a massage therapist in Hawaii.
Eric's experience includes working in clinical settings, busy wellness centers and top hotel spas with clients from athletes and performers, to office workers, and those with diagnosed medical concerns... Conditions he treats range from musculoskeletal concerns arising from motor vehicle accidents or sports injuries, to conditions such as headaches, TMJD, nerve syndromes, arthritis, stress and chronic tension. Modalities used include myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point therapy, golgi tendon organ release, muscle energy technique, joint mobilizations, passive and PNF stretching, craniosacral therapy, and therapeutic exercise as well as Swedish, Lomilomi, and deep tissue massage.
Today, Eric resides in the beautiful upcountry of Maui. Currently he offers outcall services in Makawao, Pukalani, Kula, Paia, Kahului, Wailuku, Kihei and Wailea. For treatments in Lahaina, Ka'anapali, Napili, and Kapalua, a minimum of 2 hours worth of services is required. For hotel services, a $20 fee for valet may apply.
