My Other Website:
Description: I am taking new clients that are needing deep muscular work instead of Swedish. My training includes deep tissue, Myofascial work and Chinese cupping therapy. With the combination of these three you you will receive a very thorough session. (If you are are unfamiliar with these modalities, I have posted descriptions below.)
Myofascial Bodywork
"Myofascial Bodywork refers to the manual massage technique for stretching the fascia and releasing bonds between fascia, integument, and muscles with the goal of eliminating pain, increasing range of motion and equilibrioception. Myofascial usually involves applying shear compression or tension in various directions, or by skin rolling." (Wikipedia)
Cupping Therapy
"Through either heat or suction, the skin is gently drawn upwards by creating a vacuum in a cup over the target area of the skin. The cupping stays in place for five to fifteen minutes. It is believed by some to help treat pain, deep scar tissues in the muscles and connective tissue, muscle knots, and swelling." (Wikipedia)
Cupping is one of my personal favorites in loosening up large back muscles before going into smaller muscle groups. While the cupping is doing its work on the back, I can be working on your calves.
Biomat
A Biomat is an amethyst crystal mat that is a like a deluxe heating pad, but way better. The Far Infra Red technology penetrates the heat into your body.
