") My Other Website: Description: I became a Certified Massage Therapist in the summer of 2001 from Clinical Touch School of Massage, a.k.a., Alpha Physical Therapy, located in Rocklin, California. I have continuously sought to refine and increase my holistic skills and became certified in Deep Tissue Massage, Stretching Without Straining and Myofascial Release. I am presently studying Rosen Method as well as taking a class on aromatherapy. I have been told by my instructors, employers and clients, my massage technique goes over and above, by not only soothing physical discomfort, but calming one's emotional stress that accompanies pain. After an initial phone consultation I will prepare a massage customized to your specific needs. Each client's massage will be based on their physician's recommendations or the most recent phone consultation they have had with me. My 15 years of experience has helped me in perfecting a massage that will increase circulation, relieve injured/overused muscles, release endorphins, (the body•s natural painkiller) and reduce spasms and cramping. I began studying massage when my mother, a retired LTC Army Officer, and registered nurse, was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease several years ago. The more I studied, the more I found massage can succeed where traditional medication can't. I am very intuitive and pay great attention to detail, so not only do I focus on your words, but your non-verbal communication as well; for example, I may notice if you have limp and on what ankle...I will trace all tension that may attribute to that limp, and target all trigger points around it. My overall rating of this provider: Highly Recommended Would I use this provider again? Yes The following are my expanded comments regarding my experience with this provider: Alissa is very in tuned to someone involved with a severe Fibromyalgia flare up. She knows exactly how to nurture the body/ fascia and that is hard to find in a therapist. I am very satisfied with her work and will recommend her to my relatives and friends. I trust her completely to buy gift certificates for loved ones, knowing she will provide great care, professionally. She is very attentive and goes straight to the source of any pain leaving you with a great feeling that something positive was accomplished. Reviewer's photo Provider's Additional Remarks I, the reviewed Provider, affirm that this is a review of my services from an actual client.  When read in combination with my own additional remarks, if any below, I publish this review without any intent to mislead or deceive. My additional remarks: Brenda came in to me after a few days of being in extreme pain from exacerbated fibromyalgia. After a 90 minute session I managed to reduce the pain after a series of therapeutic, trigger point and myofascial techniques, customized to her tolerance of pressure. I am happy Brenda's symptoms have gone from painful to mild and I will continue the same practice upon her return:)
